Guys! These last few months have been amazing for shopping (very very bad for my wallet). With the end of medical school today (OMG!) I have started to look for a fresh start before residency, and what “fresh start” does not include new clothes and beauty products… am I right!?!?! Also, with the news of Match, we are able to stay in our lovely apartment. Knowing that we will be here for at least 3 more years allows us to settle in a bit more- this included a massive IKEA haul (I am embarrassed to say that we have been living here for 3 years without a dining table and forced our dinner guest to sit with us on the floor to eat at the coffee table.. oops) but now we have a new dining table and an AMAZING wardrobe for our bedroom, that now holds all my favorite items. This too, inspired me to fill it out with some good stuff!
So here it goes!! (all photos are linked)
Did you guys know that Cos existed!?! Because I didn’t. We recently went to NYC to celebrate my dad’s birthday and had a nice shop at their SOHO store. I LOVED it. So clean and simple, yet trendy at the same time! I’ve worn the top on the left like 5 times since I’ve bought it. So comfy!
Full disclosure- I NEVER wear eye shadow. I’ve been trying to step up my make-up game, and found this palette. While I was searching Sehora, the video that they show about it totalllly sold me. I love that they give instructions based on your face shape. The palatte is for eyebrows (including eyebrow wax, which I didn’t know was a thing), face, and eye- the glow powder is amazinggg and I’m obsessed with the “posh” shadow. It’s been fun experimenting with it- I feel like a real girl with eye shadow on!!! Also, it’s just gorgeous and I want it to stay looking this fresh and new forever!
Last weekend, we were with W’s parents for the Easter holiday. On Monday morning (we both were off of work for Marathon Monday!!) W and his dad went fishing- W’s mom surprised me with a pedicure at the most amazing place in the Berkshires– like unreal. I felt so spoiled! We sipped tea in the quite room and had the best leg massages. I picked up this per recommended of the staff, and it is honestly the coolest thing. It is a powder exfoliator that you mix with water, which activates enzymes to do magic onyour face. I’m obsessed! They recommend just using it once a week, and I’m kind of scared of what will happen if I use it more frequently. Highly recommended. Also pictured it Too Faced’s Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush which I couldn’t resist buying and our little rubby ducky friend that come on my cocktail at Elm City Social, a little souvenir from the Interview trail!
Have you guys gotten into Bullet Journaling yet? If not, check out this video. I kind of love it!! It keeps me super organized and motivated- I even got W into it! When we were visiting MOMA in NY, we each picked up one of these awesome notebooks to feed our Bullet journal momentum. Each page is a different design so it makes it a bit more fun. I’ve also been loving this set of pens/highlighters– I feel they need no explanation. Just look at them- incredible. : )
In the kitchen: We picked up some local bee pollen out in Western MA after being inspired by this post. I’ve been loving a strawberry, banana, coconut milk, and bee pollen smoothie as of late. As always, my SodaStream will always have my heart. Finally, I have developed an abnormal obsession with our (too) local Ice Cream place, Fomu, who without a doubt, makes the best cupcakes (that hppen to be vegan?!?!?! Seruoisly blows my mind, they are so good. My most recent favority was their vanilla lavender flavor. Like, WHAT.
Anyway, that’s all for now! Hopefully I’ll be posting more now that I am FINISHED with MEDICAL SCHOOL. (Well, at least until residency starts!!)
