This past weekend starting with a bang… we found our first big person apartment!!!! No more dorm rooms for us. The building is beautiful, the details are exquisite, and an old fashioned giant elevator gets me really excited. We also have a not too shabby view of Boston. Move in is Sept 1st, its gonna be great.
I forget to mention that B and W walked me home from work, and together (mainly W), we prepared this awesome salad with greens, sauteed mushrooms and leeks, tomatoes, broccoli, soy nuts, raisins, homemade croutons, and homemade dressing! It was delectable.. On a sunny beautiful day.
Soon after we left the realtor, a big group of great friend headed to Brookline, for Alex and Christa’s annual beer and cheese party (this was my first attendance). We each brought a chunk of cheese and a beer pairing. Mine was a honey lavender goat cheese spread with a cherry lambic. Typically. I tried a ton of different cheeses, even the stinky blues ones! It was a great time, great idea.
Saturday was a lazy day, exploring the area of our new apartment, so when Sunday rolled around, I was ready to get out. Breakfast at Render with B and W (rosemary potato frittata of everything bagel with cheese, a chai latte, and a peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip cookie- PERFECTION). W and I then stroll in nature at the Blue Hills. It was beautiful and the weather was perfect. At one point I was warm enough with just a flannel…
We stopped at the new Whole Foods in Jamaica Plain to stock up for SuperBowl!!!! The night was perfect. Of course I was more concerned with the food and social aspect of it rather then the game. Homemade guacamole, chili, a fun dip, buffalo balls, and a ton of drinks. B brought flowers from the shop to decorate, and all of my favorite people where there. I learned that a teaspoon of sugar actually does cure the hiccups. Another greattt weekend. : )
